The Pharisee or Fishermen Test

Whenever miracles begin to happen you can expect anyone with a problem with spiritual pride or jealousy to begin to persecute anyone who looks like they are being used or blessed by God more than they are. Envy and jealousy are not just problems in Jesus day, they crop up whenever anyone walks in God's power. And since we are about to experience a worldwide explosion of God's power you can also expect many modern day Pharisees to come out of the woodwork against those that operate in His anointing. The following test will help you to identify these modern day Pharisees, and it will also help you identify some attributes of those who are true kingdom Fishermen.

Modern day Pharisees:

1. Persecute those who are walking in God's power, rather than praying for or helping them, or growing up enough spiritually to qualify to be used in power themselves.

2. They enjoy having titles or initials of college degrees before or after their names in order so that people will think they are the most special and important people around.

3. Feed off the sheep, rather than feeding the sheep. They try to make people meet their needs, rather than meeting the needs of those they are supposed to be serving.

4. Everything they do is for people to see and secretly admire them. They walk in false humility, and love for people to think they are the most spiritual person around.

5. Love the place of honor. They want to be considered the number one leader, but they shy away from the work and responsibilities that go along with such a position.

6. They make fun of anyone God is really blessing and using in power. They mock, slander, and gossip about people whom the Lord is performing true miracles through.

7. They flatter you to your face, but will do their best to discredit, insult, and malign you behind your back by getting all the dirt and personal info on you that they can.

8. Very controlling people. They do their very best to control everything and everyone around them, and what they cannot control, they persecute until maybe they can.

9. Too good to associate with sinners. They like being around other similar people, but will not go into the streets to help the needy because they think it is beneath them.

10. They do not really love people. Even if they serve people it is with hidden selfish motives, and you will never hear or see them do anything that demonstrates true love.

11. They attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to the works of the Devil. They call the genuine outpouring of God's power demonic, and tell everyone else that it is all evil.

12. They create organizations in order to control and dominate people, rather than allowing and promoting the leadership of Jesus through the direction of His Holy Spirit.

Modern day Fishermen:

1. Rejoice when God is doing miracles through people, and they do their best to help and pray for them. They also work to become empowered themselves to help others.

2. Shun titles. They know that real ministry is just loving and feeding Jesus' sheep and using a title smacks of spiritual pride, insecurity, and a desire to be Lord over others.

3. Feed the sheep and not try to exploit people. They do not use people to meet their own selfish desires, rather they look for ways that they can give instead of receiving.

4. Everything they do is born out of love. They don't even care if God sees the good works they do, they only care about genuinely helping people to grow and mature.

5. They look to honor others above themselves, and actually try to discourage people from honoring them in any way. They look for ways to glorify God and not themselves.

6. It angers and disgusts them to hear of good men and women of God being cruelly and carelessly mocked by those who have not paid the price to walk in God's power.

7. They refuse to flatter people or try to manipulate others to gain an advantage. They never slander or gossip about people behind their back and they rebuke those that do.

8. They never try to control people, they promote the lordship and leadership of the Holy Spirit in peoples lives. They teach people to be dependent upon God, not them.

9. Their heart is to help those who are truly hurting. They would walk through the most dangerous part of town just to minister to one person that really needs God's help.

10. They love people because God's love is flowing through their hearts. God's great compassion and burden for the lost governs their lives and the actions of all they do.

11. They would never dream of blaspheming the Holy Spirit by calling His works the Devil. They have enough discernment to know what is truly of God, and what is not.

12. They steer away from anything that strips God of His rightful leadership over His own people, and their heart is just to allow God to be God in any and every situation.

Now in all fairness, we are all usually a combination of both the Pharisee and the Fishermen to some degree, but as we yield to the daily work of the Holy Spirit He will purge us from all of our Pharisaical qualities, and replace them with the heart of a true kingdom Fishermen. There were some Pharisees in Jesus day that did get saved, and even Paul went from hurting Christians to becoming one of them, and then assisting them. We too must stop walking in the ways of the Pharisee, and walk as Fishermen. If you have either knowingly or unknowingly persecuted Jesus by wrongly persecuting His sheep, then there is a prayer below to help get free from the spirit of the Pharisee.

"Dear Jesus, you have seen how I have behaved like one of the Pharisees of old by the way I have wrongly mistreated, judged, and persecuted some of your sheep at different times. I confess that I have been unloving and I have harbored resentment and bitterness toward certain people of the kingdom, but I don't want to do that anymore. Now I want to walk as a true Fishermen in your kingdom. Please forgive me for any and all spiritual pride, envy, and unrighteous judgment, that I have ever walked in and help me to move from being a critical and condemning Pharisee, to being a kind and truly loving kingdom Fishermen. In your precious name I ask and pray Jesus, amen."

MT 15:10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11 What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him`unclean.' "

MT 15:12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"

MT 15:13 He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

I know that you are afraid to believe even one more time because you are afraid of being disappointed, but I would tell you this day that your blessing is closer than you think. Though you cannot see it, it is standing right in front of you and will soon appear so be ready and believing when your day of breakthrough arrives, for it is right at your door.

This blessing will change everything about your life in a moment and one day your life will be one way, and the next day it will all be different. You will remember this old life but it will be like a dream to you compared to the many new things I will be doing. Be of good cheer this day My child and be depressed no more, for I am the God of sudden changes, and suddenly everything is about to change for you for the better. Only remember all that I have taught you and continue to be humble and obedient.

Healing Is Coming To Your Home

   While seeking the Lord I saw a short vision that I felt led to share with you. I saw Jesus drop an envelope into the mail slot of people that belonged to Him. On the envelope I could see the word "HEALING" printed out on it in large bold letters. Inside the home I could see people that had been sick and run down for a long time, and who urgently needed healing. Plus they looked like they were barely getting by and surviving financially. A child ran and picked up the envelope and then handed it to an adult who looked at it with a look like they were almost too weary to open it and believe for anymore words from God. But when they opened the envelope a heavenly being jumped out of it with the word “HEALING” printed on its shirt. I don't know whether this was an angel, or just symbolic of the spirit of healing, but the being went right to work going from room to room in a flash and bringing full healing to everyone that needed it there. It also touched the run down possessions that these people had lived with and they turned into brand new items that would more than meet their needs from then on. This being had a constant ear to ear grin on its face, and it had a boundless joy that seemed to thrive on and enjoy its job of bringing healing to people for God. Jesus then stepped into the picture and spoke these words:

   "Know this My child that healing is coming to your home and to expect it to arrive very soon now. Repent of all sin, forgive everyone you need to forgive, and trust Me to do what I have promised I would do. Be willing to believe Me once again and let go of all doubt, because there are no big or small healings for Me; only big or small faith from you in order to receive it. Trust Me to heal “everything” and you will indeed receive healing for everything. I desire to restore you completely, not partially. Trust in My great love for you and know that I will never leave or forsake you. So My dear one, know that I am sending healing to your home and it is standing at your door even now."

MK 1:41 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 


Ingredients For Being Greatly Used

MT 22:14 "For many are invited, but few are chosen."

So, you feel a strong calling and burden to be used by God to help lots of people. Well guess what?, most Christians do. But when it really comes down to it only a few for the most part actually come to the place of maturity where they have everything truly necessary to operate at that level of service. Why? Because it takes a lot of perseverance, submission, patience, and breaking of everything that originates from self and sin to become truly ready. It's one thing to want something, but another thing to actually do the work in order to get it.

LK 8:15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

If you have been in the wilderness for any length of time, then you know how hard it is to actually work through all of your soul junk, (sin habits, flesh, past pain) in order to grow up and be safe enough to handle God's resources to be able to help people. But it's not enough to just want God's power to help people, you also have to want it for the right reasons. When your heart truly aches and breaks for those you are called to minister to, only then can you really help them. Below is a list of things that can help to prepare you to be used by God.

1. A testimony as a true overcomer- We all have a testimony because we were all sinners saved by grace, but people want to see and hear about how others with everyday problems find real answers from God. So whatever God has set you free from, that is your testimony.

2. A gift brought to a high level of excellence- We all have basic gifts given to us by God, but it is up to each one of us to fully develop that gift into a level of excellence where people can truly be helped and ministered to by it. A matured gifting will be sought out by more people.

3. A consistently holy and obedient life- Many great men and women of God have still fallen because of undealt with sin-habits. In this last harvest God will only empower and promote people who have allowed Him to fully purify them from all secret sin-habits and non-love.

4. A heart of love and a burden to feed the sheep- We don't need a desire to build a ministry, we need a heart that is full of God's love and a burden for the lost. If you are full of love for people then you will be more patient, kind, and genuinely interested in really helping them.

5. The power of God to heal and deliver- Words and a developed gift can help people to a certain extent, but God's power will bring them to a place of decision much faster than just preaching. Ask God to move through you in power and you will see a great harvest of souls.

6. Promotion and favor from God- It won't matter if you have all of the above qualities if God is not promoting you. Jesus is the one who opens up ministry doors and we just waste our time trying to kick them open. God's favor can bring you into the throne room of great kings.

7. Daily intimacy with God- Remember that it is Jesus actually feeding His sheep through what He gives to you everyday as you spend time with Him. The higher the quality of the food that you daily get from Him, the greater the quantity of people that will want to eat it.

It would be good for all of us to go through this list and see if there is any element missing or lacking, because we all want to bear as much fruit as possible for Jesus. We live in the last days and the main reason that God has placed us all in the wilderness of change at the same time, is to develop, purify, and mature us into a place where we can all be chosen, not just called. Trust that God will work you though the above things as you daily cooperate with His spiritual training. God truly wants to change all of the invited, into being all of the ignited.

MT 24:45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.


Prophetic Word

I have a word for someone who has been holding a grudge against someone that did you dirty. Forgive and leave what they did in God's hands.

MT 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Being Clear and Clean

Being clear-minded and clean-spirited is critical to daily bearing fruit and being socially successful. God needs you healthy for people.

1PE 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

The Fastest Way To Lose Your Anointing

The fastest way to lose your anointing is to start judging people, especially people with the same gifting as yours. Forgive and show grace.

MT 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Truth or Consequences

REV 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.

We have entered a time in which God is requiring us all to walk in complete truth and obedience or we will soon face the consequences for continuing to walk in the lie and disobedience. We have spent many years in the wilderness where God has been showing us who He is and who we are, so that we can know the truth and turn away from all the lies we have been embracing. We have reached a spiritual threshold where we must walk fully in the truth or face certain rebukes and punishments from the Lord.

AC 5:10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

Nobody wants to have to be made the example to others for disobedience, but most of us know the story about Ananias and Sapphira and how they lied to God about how much they sold a property for and then were punished for it by death. Chances are this problem with dishonesty had been there for a while but was just never repented of. God has painstakingly shown us our weak areas so that we can repent now and thus escape His soon coming judgments later, but we must take God's dealings seriously.

HEB 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

JN 5:14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.

In the coming days and months we are going to see God making prime examples out of people who should have repented but didn't, but we are also going to see great examples of many who listened to God's promptings and repented before it was too late. Waiting to repent can be a huge gamble because judgment will always come sooner or later, especially with it being the end of the age right now. This is the most dangerous time in history to be practicing sin, and the best time in history to repent.

Here are some of the judgments you may soon see happening to Christians who have refused to repent. They are listed in order of severity, but are not limited to this order:

1. God being silent, or loss of His sense of presence and blessing.

2. Punitive judgments like lack, sickness, or demonic harassment.

3. Exposure of your sin to everyone around you.

4. Being given over to your sin and the consequences of it.

5. Physical and and/or spiritual death.

Now of course God's heart is that we repent in earnest, but usually we rationalize why we need our sin and we procrastinate and presume God's grace because if we didn't get punished that bad last time, maybe we won't again this time. Since this is a time of judgment for everyone this is a day for us all to take repentance very seriously and to be the example of obedience rather than disobedience to others. God will help you to repent so trust Him today and step into full obedience to everything He wants.

DT 30:19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.


What We Really Need

Sometimes God gives us what we think we want in order to show us what we really need. So let go of your personal desires and trust the Lord.

LK 22: 42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

God Often Moves When...

God often moves when we are at our fleshiest and least ready state. He does this so that we know it's all Him, and so that He gets all the glory.

EX 4:13 But Moses said, "O Lord, please send someone else to do it."


If You Want Change

If you want God to move in your life then you need to be willing to let go of whatever has been preventing Him from moving. So if you want change then "you" be willing to change. If you will do this, then you will finally start moving forward, and your sense of direction and anointing will return once again.

AC 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.




When the Well Runs Dry

Sometimes just before a miracle happens, everything seems to get its worst. Your well of provision may suddenly mysteriously just run dry and you may be scratching your head wondering if you have done something wrong, or whether you need to do something to try to fix the situation. There may be some other issue involved, but we live in a time where there are going to be many miracles that God will perform to restore and establish His people in this last great harvest of souls in the earth. He wants us to have all we need for what He calls us to do.

If you have been in the Wilderness for a long time, you may feel weary right now and the idea of things getting worse right now may seem unbearable, but you must remember that the same God that led you into the Wilderness, will also be faithful to lead you out when you are truly ready. He will never leave or forsake you. God sets the stage for a miracle first by making sure we do in fact really need one, this can be unnerving to say the least, but all miracles take some faith. God also wants to make sure that He alone gets the glory for what He does.

So, though your well may be running dry right now and you are down to your last few drops of provision, do not worry, God is with you. If God wants you to sow into others spiritually, physically, or financially right now, then just do it, even if it seems like your last crumbs of bread. If you feel more comfortable fasting to hear from God then go ahead and fast, but remember, God just needs our faith right now, and for us to be listening in prayer. Remember His past miracles and that God will be faithful to you no matter what you are facing right now.

PS 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.


Replacing Lies With Truth

Once you heal the mind, then you heal the actions. Replacing the lies of sin with God's truth is the key to overcoming all sin. Start today!


RO 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

You will Soon Be Clothed in Power

LK 24:49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

For many of us as Christians, we have prayed for many people over the years for different things and we have seen God help some of these people, but we have longed to see God heal people and deliver them from evil spirits as we laid hands on them in much a greater way, and so God sent us into the Wilderness to prepare us to be more stable and responsible so that He could in fact flow through us in greater power to help those in need. The disciples had walked with Jesus for several years being prepared to walk in power, and so finally Jesus sent them out to preach the gospel in power and these were the instructions He gave them;

MT 10:7 As you go, preach this message: `The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9 Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; 10 take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.

MT 10:11 "Whatever town or village you enter, search for some worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. 15 I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. 16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

I believe that these guidelines and principles still apply to us today, and that we will soon be going to the streets, the malls, and many other public places preaching the gospel and having God demonstrate His power to heal and deliver so that people will believe and be saved. No matter how many people you have prayed for before where nothing happened, now you will lay hands on people and God will in fact heal and deliver them. God just needed to build a more stable, humble, and holy life in you first, so that He could flow through you without you falling or failing because of sin or pride. No matter how good your gifting is, God will only grant His power to people where Christ's character lives through them so that His power and message is not discredited by bad character or sin. Always remember, that as many people as you can help, will also be as many people as you can hurt. Here are the above guidelines in a nutshell;

1. Pray for everyone that God places in your path. With God's power comes great responsibility, so you are on His schedule and you must be willing to go and to do whatever He tells you to no matter how inconvenient it may seem, or how tired you may feel. Don't be choosy about who you will or won't pray for, if God sais to pray for them, then just pray for them.

2. Don't charge them money for what God does. There will be times that God will allow you to receive from others to help meet your needs, to meet the needs of others, or to do something that God wants to do, but you must not charge people for what God gives them through you. If they want to give an offering and God sais that it's ok to receive it, then that's fine, but otherwise just turn it down and tell them to thank God for what God did for them. Freely you have received, so freely give.

3. Don't take along a bunch of extra supplies and money when you travel for extra security. God will provide what you need as you just go forward and do the work, so just trust Him and do not let fear drive you to make back up provision for yourself. This may mean leaving your credit cards at home and just allowing the Lord to give you what you truly need while serving. God wants His ability, and goodness to receive the glory for all provision, not your Visa card.

4. If you travel, stay with people that God wants you to stay with where peace reigns in the home. If it is the right place then don't move around to other peoples homes. If God wants you to stay in a home then just stay there regardless of your preferences or how you feel about the people, and don't go to a hotel just because you think it would be more comfortable and easy. You never know what kind of ministry or hidden blessing awaits you in each home you stay in.

5. If the home or the town does not receive you, then just move on and leave them to themselves, God will deal with them later on. Try not to get all upset and rattled just because some people will reject you and refuse the ministry God wants to give to them through you. They are rejecting the Lord, not you (unless you are doing something inappropriate), so try not to take it personally or argue with them about it. Just ask the Lord what is next, and move on. You will have both good and bad reactions and experiences from different people while serving.

6. Be wise, careful, and discerning as you walk out what God wants to do, and stay clean from all sin and defilement. Be discerning and wise about what is really going on with people and in the spirit realm, but avoid being paranoid or overly suspicious over everything that happens. Stay away from practicing any secret sin while you are doing God's work especially. We must walk blameless because there will be even more "blamers" while you walking in God's power.

Now, when you begin to walk in power, you can expect opposition to come and try to intimidate and discourage you. They will challenge, oppose, refute, slander, criticize, and gossip about everything they can, and these modern day pharisees will attack you just like they attacked Jesus and the disciples when they walked in God's power. But do not be afraid, God will be with you and you must stand your ground and not give up. Spend time with God every day and do not allow yourself to get so busy with ministry that you neglect recharging yourself spiritually and physically, even Jesus knew when it was time to take a break.

MK 6: 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." 32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

People and spirits may try to flatter, attack, or bribe you when you are walking in God's power, but you must remember who you were without God's power and virtue flowing through you when you were being renovated during the Wilderness. Just agree with them that God is good and give all the glory to Jesus. God showed us who we were without His grace in the Wilderness so that we could walk in true humility once He moved through us in a greater way. This is all about helping them anyway, it's not about us. Trust God to deal with attackers when they attack. The disciples ran into these kinds of problems, and this is how they dealt with it.

AC 14:8 In Lystra there sat a man crippled in his feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, "Stand up on your feet!" At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.

AC 14:11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in human form!"

AC 14:14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15 "Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you.

AC 13:6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus, 7 who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. 9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 "You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? 11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun."

Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.

AC 8:18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money 19 and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

AC 8:20 Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.

These will be exciting, challenging, and very busy days ahead where we will see many new people come into the kingdom all at once. Prayer, worship, and reading and teaching the word will be our daily manna. Remember that new Christians still have alot of their flesh still intact, so it will take alot of patience and grace to walk with them. Share the load with others and don't try to be a spiritual Superman. Lead new believers to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that He can help them to grow and heal more effectively. He is the master Teacher and Counselor, teach them to hear His voice and to become more dependent upon Him. This harvest will be bigger than any other in history, and the opposition and warfare will be intense so we must draw upon God and each other for much needed strength and support. Get ready to be clothed with power and to go forward to conquer in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.

AC 8:4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city.

If you want the miracles of God then you must walk in the fruit of the Spirit and put away all secret sin. Do this, and His power will come.

Your Life Went The Way It Was Supposed To

GE 40:23 The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.

There are many of you reading this right now that could have accomplished great things in this world and gone very far, but for some strange reason these pursuits always eluded you and stayed just out of your grasp. This was no mistake my friend. You see, God has had to restrict you from certain career paths and even certain relationships that would have likely distracted and prevented you from later walking in the better calling that He had for your life.

GE 41:55 When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, "Go to Joseph and do what he tells you."

Joseph had tremendous potential to do many things in life, but each time that something seemed to be working out for him something would always happen that thwarted his goals to have his own way. You too could have risen to accomplish many things in life, but at what cost? There are many people in these last days that will need your unique ministry and if God had not restricted you, and if he let you have your own way, they would have lost you.

ISA 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.

So if you are sitting here at the end of your wilderness time right now looking at your life like it's one big failure, then you are completely wrong. Being restricted by God and failing are two different things, and instead of getting mad at God for what didn't happen you should be thanking Him because you have not seen the end yet my friend, and your finish is going to be so much more rewarding and gratifying than anything you could have built by yourself.

LK 18:29 "I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life."

Jesus wasn't kidding around or exaggerating when He told us that we must be prepared to sacrifice everything we love and value in order to follow His plan. You may not feel like you have accomplished that much in life so far, but walking by faith is the best gift that you can give to God. Trust that the plan God has for your life will pan out as you cooperate with what He asks of you, and that in the end His way will work out in the best case scenario for you. Be encouraged, empowerment is at the door now and your detours are about to end!

JER 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.


On Truth Alone

True repentance must be based on obedience to God's word alone, and not on fear, desires, or self effort. Only then will you be fully free.

PS 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
